IDENTIFICATION OF BARRIERS TO THE EMPLOYMENT INCLUSION OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

The present study is part of the project titled "Integration of the human rights of persons with disabilities in COVID-19 recovery actions and within the UN cooperation framework 2021-2025," implemented by the United Nations. Its objective is to identify the current barriers to the socio-labor inclusion of persons with disabilities (PWDs, hereinafter) and to make recommendations for their progressive elimination. To achieve this goal, the study analyzes existing regulations, systematizes research conducted in Uruguay and abroad on the labor inclusion of PWDs, and surveys the perspective of PWD organizations, the labor movement, and business chambers.
